Bob checks in with Santa to make sure he read his letter

Bob doesn’t like uncertainty.

He doesn’t like it in exposure.

He doesn’t like it in focus.

And he definitely doesn’t like it when Christmas gift outcomes are unclear.

So this year, Bob decided to do the responsible thing and verify his Santa status in person.

Not with one Santa.

With multiple Santa's.

Because if there’s one thing Bob has learned from street photography

Always get a second opinion.

Santa #1: Cabin Santa (Clearly Management)

The first Santa was seated in a very cozy setup. Trees, lights, garlands, nutcrackers—this Santa had clearly been decorating since October.

Bob approached cautiously, the camera hanging from his neck, looking exactly like:

a tourist

a photographer

a man with questions

Bob mentally reviewed his letter:Promised to keep shooting street photos

Promised not to buy new gear  (technically)

Promised to behave  (define “behave”)

Bob asked the important question:

“So… did you read my letter?”

Santa stared directly into Bob’s soul.

This was not a no.

This was a “I know what you did with ISO last summer” look.

Bob took the photo and backed away slowly.

Santa #2: Corporate North Pole Santa

Bob then encountered another Santa. This one had signage.

North Pole.

Elf Village.

Santa’s Workshop.

This Santa was clearly part of the corporate structure.

Bob figured if anyone had access to the Naughty-or-Nice database, it was this guy.

Santa waved.

Bob interpreted this wave as:

“Hello Bob”

“I’ve seen your Flickr”

“Please don’t ask me about lenses”

Bob scanned the area for paperwork. Clipboard? Ledger? iPad?

Nothing.

Very suspicious. Very magical.

Bob’s Official Assessment

After careful investigation, Bob concluded:

His letter was almost certainly read

His name is still spelled correctly

Street photography is considered “creative” and not “loitering”

Taking photos of Santa's is apparently allowed

Looking like a tourist works everywhere—even the North Pole

Bob believes he is currently listed as:

“Good, but watching gear reviews again”

Final Thoughts From Bob

If you’re worried Santa didn’t read your letter, don’t panic.

Just do what Bob does:

Ask multiple Santa's

Take photographic evidence

Trust the vibes

Avoid discussing megapixels

Because even if Santa didn’t read your letter…

You still got a solid Bob blog post, two Santa's, and zero coal detected in the camera bag.
